Job Overview
Our Houston SE location is hiring a Mechanic Assistant. The goal of the Mechanic Assistant position is to contribute to the preventative maintenance and repair of Lawnmowers, and handheld power equipment. Changing oil, filters, sharpening blades, inspection and replacing worn parts, Some electrical diagnostic work. Test drive equipment, safety-conscious, consistent on-time performance, strong mechanical skills. Ability to follow basic instructions.
Essential Functions
Blade sharping, oil changes, general mechanic work
Small engine repair for mowers and stihl weed eaters
Be open to and make suggestions for improved equipment or repair procedures, willingness to experiment for continued improvement
Own tools welcomed

Requirements
One (1) to three (3) years mechanical experience
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation to the Branch or first job site
Safe driving record and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report ("MVR") a plus
