The Master Plumber is responsible for repairing, installing, replacing, and testing piping and equipment used in the hospital's plumbing distribution system. Maintains fire pumps, sprinkler systems, domestic water, waste, water features, and medical gas distribution systems. Job Specifications - Knowledge and Skills Preferred: -Experience with large scale building water and waste systems -Strong knowledge in the care and maintenance of fire pumps and sprinkler systems -Working knowledge of medical gas distribution systems -Operates hand tools, power tools, equipment, and electrical testing equipment requiring manual dexterity -Ability to understand complex oral and written instructions, schematic drawings and layouts -Utilize computer, printer, copier, telephone, calculator, cell phone and 2-way radios -Working knowledge of MS Office software products -Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population -Ability to work alternative/shift work schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours Job Specifications - Education and Experience Required: -Minimum of 5 years' experience as a plumber within commercial facilities (healthcare, hotel, or similar) and/or related construction industries -Master plumber license valid in the state of Louisiana .
