Sera Group has opened a position for an Account Executive who will contribute toward the overall development of new business through new customer acquisitions and existing customer accounts. We are looking for a motivated, personable, and detail-oriented individual who enjoys developing and maintaining relationships. The ideal candidate has sales experience with bringing on new business and loves the challenges of outbound prospecting.

This position will drive engagement and retention through effective communication and sales tactics to increase market share across Northwest Indiana and increase company revenue. You will work with local businesses spanning many industries and connect them with our digital and creative marketing solutions. As an account executive, you will add value to our team by passionately and professionally representing our agency on a day-to-day basis.

You will be responsible for proactively reaching out to ensure client satisfaction/retention while continuously pursuing and closing new business deals. We have a well-established and friendly client base that we want to ensure receives the best marketing outcomes possible. We will provide you the opportunity to make contributions immediately while developing the skills and knowledge to be successful.


Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with businesses to discuss and understand their needs and develop customized solutions to drive leads to their business via websites and digital marketing.
  • Understand the marketing needs of small and mid-sized business customers, and identify solutions to meet those unique business needs.
  • Create an outbound prospecting strategy and executing on that strategy using: cold calls, email, social selling, direct mail, business visits, networking etc.
  • Utilize the company's CRM system to qualify/generate leads and document interactions
  • Send prospecting emails and make calls to qualified leads to drive new business
  • Create quick and strategic follow-ups with qualified prospects via phone, email, or business visit
  • Attend local networking events to develop relationships (Ribbon cuttings, workshops, chamber events)
  • Strategically evaluate new opportunities with existing clients, including assessing relative product advantages and disadvantages
  • Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customers' dedication
  • Help prepare information and collateral in support of customer outreach and meetings
  • Aggressively prospect, develop, and close leads using a variety of sources
  • Achieving and exceeding weekly/monthly performance metrics
  • Organize data, clean pipeline, and produce weekly reporting


Requirements:

  • Education - A bachelor's degree in a related field or minimum 2 years in a sales role working directly with client-side decision-makers and/or stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and capable of working effectively within a team
  • Ability to commute to client locations
  • Project management/organization skills
  • Insightful, collaborative, and results-driven working style
  • Ability to produce in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to undertake and follow through on tasks without oversight
  • Strategic/critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage time efficiently
  • Having knowledge in Web Design and Digital Marketing (beneficial, but not required)
  • The perfect candidate would understand how important digital marketing is to local businesses in combination with quality photography and videography
  • Can demonstrate empathy towards potential customers and even be willing to walk away from a deal if the fit isn't there
  • Display resilience when facing rejection
  • Confident using a CRM and other sales tools


Salary:

This is a paid position with a base + commission & performance bonuses
