Opportunity

Under the direction of
the Sr Staff Engineer: Supplier Quality, the Engineering
Tech provides In-house technical
support for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes, and intermediate factory level engineering and
technical support to Power Systems
Operations, which includes intermediate troubleshooting, technical information assistance, application data.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Delight
Customers by providing Power Systems' industrial product intermediate level expertise
to deliver technical solutions and resolve field issues resulting from
installation, application, performance, and operational product problems.

Provide accurate
and informative intermediate level technical advice to
the operations team, including generator,
testing, startup, maintenance, repair, operation, and
training.
This service is necessary for customer satisfaction and repeated sales.

Aid and support test
cell operators with application, installation and on existing
and new products.

Perform assignments delegated by the Sr Staff Engineer: Supplier Quality assisting in all functions necessary
diagnose and repair generator.

Analyze reports, production complaints, laboratory prototypes, and advise and assist in development of a better, more reliable Power System's product.

Collaborate with other
departments as necessary regarding reoccurring failures to drive corrective actions, continuous improvements,
and innovations to both product and processes.

Skills/Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation, maintenance or repair of ATS, generators, or other electric
    power distribution equipment
    required.
  • A thorough Intermediate understanding
    of generators, engines, automatic transfer switches and related controls is required. A proven ability in a similar
    technical field with that ability to quickly grasp and apply these skills in a
    power generation capacity would be acceptable for the right candidate.
  • Intermediate understanding of electrical
    power generation is recommended.
  • Ability to teach and develop troubleshooting and
    solving of mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Computer proficiency and operating knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    required.
  • Automotive experience/ knowledge a plus.
