We are family-owned and operated and have expanded our presence across Canada to meet increased demand for these products in oil and gas production, petrochemical, oil refining, and pulp & paper industries. At A.R. Thomson Group fluid containment and fluid control are our specialty, we design and manufacture stainless steel metallic flex hoses as well as industrial rubber hose, expansion joints and a vast assortment of gaskets. We have an expanding Metallic hose and Bellow production department we are currently hiring for. We specialize in providing exceptional product and solutions that surpass our customers' expectations.
We employ the gamut of vocations from skilled tradespeople to professional and are looking for out of the box thinkers to join our growing staff. We look for punctual, professional and reliable individuals who are motivated to learn.
General Accountability:
We would like to hire a shop technician (entry-level) with the ability to handle high workload demand, as well as daily and last-minute overtime as required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Setup and Operation of metallic hoses/bellow forming equipment.
Operation and safe handling of a vast assortment of pneumatic, power/ hand tools.
Work independently and as a team.
Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area.
Available to work sporadic overtime hours as requested.
And other duties as assigned.
After the training period is completed, we do have an on-call service that the selected candidate will be required to participate in.
Follow all operating processes, and use all relevant safety practices and equipment.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for new initiatives on an ongoing basis.
Ability to lift 40-50 Lb. repetitively.
Availability to work overtime and be on-call.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Must be familiar standard measuring equipment (Tape measure, Calipers or Pie tape).
Must be able to speak read and write English.
Shop experience is beneficial but not a necessity.
Ability to multitask is an asset.
