AAA is hiring for a Managing Director of Digital Strategy & Performance to join our team!
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for leading AAA Club Alliance's (ACA's) strategy and execution of digital Member and Non-Member experiences. These experiences are embodied in our website, mobile platforms, and social media. This role is accountable for the development, measurement, optimization and constant evolution of how ACA is represented digitally. The Managing Director, and the team that it leads, works directly with AAA business lines, other AAA Clubs and our National partners, to deliver industry leading functionality that supports growth, retention, brand awareness and consideration, as well as revenue.

What You'll Do:
- Lead the teams who develop and deploy ACA plans and tactics for Digital experiences supporting membership, insurance, travel, automotive, financial, public relations, and new product development. Lead efforts to enhance the online member/customer experience by leveraging emerging technology and digital best practices.
- Lead the organization in the innovative use of online technology to enhance digital operations with the purpose of process improvement, improved efficiency and a positive impact on profitability.
- Keep the organization abreast of emerging Digital technologies and competitive practices and integrates them into club-wide practices.
- Oversee the Digital technology infrastructure, processes and tools to support the online operations meeting the organizations' technology standards. Provide strategic direction on email address usage and manage the team accountable for Member and Non Member email programs.
- Responsible for Digital strategy behind design, development and maintenance of system applications. Accountable for using data to constantly optimize AAA digital products to increase usage, conversion and user experience.
- Create team structure that promotes impactful collaboration between business lines and technical teams. Lead all the technical activities of the Digital Development team ensuring development, testing and transfer of applications to production status.
- Support the enterprise by implementing data integrity processes, delivery processes, data marts, and application integrations, presentations, and design.
- Direct and supervise all department resources to ensure the effective delivery of production applications.
- Identify future technology trends and best practices to utilize in long term, strategic planning throughout all business lines.
- Review development plans and schedules to ensure end-user satisfaction.
- Actively participate with National and ACP on new and or strategic technical projects affecting all business units.
- Lead club-wide Social Media plans including strategies and tactics for all business lines and departments. Lead the Club's efforts to enhance the social experience by creating, developing and managing meaningful dialogue and engagement with members.
- Lead the organization in the innovative use of social technologies to enhance the internal operations of the Club with the purpose of generating increased awareness and utilization of AAA products and services. Keep the organization abreast of social technologies and competitive practices relating to social media and integrates them into club-wide practices.
- Provide leadership in the development of shared social business practices at the National, ACP and all Club level. Serve as the AAA National contact for ACA, ensuring compliance with Quality Standards and adherence to association-wide social initiatives.
- Direct the activities of associates within the Social Media department. Create process and internal communication channels to achieve focus and support for Social Media among all ACA associates. Direct the implementation of Social Media programs by collaborating with all business lines and departments.
- Monitor external conversations through social monitoring tool to identify the conversations about AAA and its products/services. Engage in strategically valuable conversations to promote positive sentiment about AAA.
- Establish and monitor functional budget and expense goals that are consistent with company objectives.
- Negotiate and maintain all contracts and relationships with third party hosting vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in eBusiness, Marketing, Communications or equivalent.
- 12+ years' business experience required in digital marketing, SEO/SEM, ecommerce, communications or marketing. 5-6+ years' in a management/leadership capacity.
- 5 years' direct social media experience directing and managing social assets and communities for a large, enterprise-level company (strongly preferred).
- Ability to develop and communicate a business vision for social media and technologies, including the establishment of goals and results.
- Excellent project, budget, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be an innovative thinker, intuitive learner, with ability to quickly find technology solutions in fast-moving industry.
- Strong editorial writing skills and strong communication skills essential.
- Excellent research and presentation skills required. Needs to have a distinct, personable voice for external engagement. This person will be the "face" of ACA social media and needs to be comfortable and effective at speaking across/to all levels of the association and beyond.
- Demonstrated strong quantitative and analytical skills required for metrics analysis and reporting.
- Strong relationship building skills, including negotiating and executive interaction. Ability to exercise good judgment with quick response time.
- Demonstrated knowledge in people, and the ability to train and coach internal staff on our existing technology platform.
