As an SWE Manager, you will be managing a team of SWE and Cloud Engineers within our ProdTech global organization to guide them in maximizing feature velocity while achieving high availability, performance, and correctness goals. This team is responsible for building out automation and frameworks leveraged by the other teams in the organization. Our work sits at the intersection of every development team's interaction with Cloud services. We are looking for highly technical, innovative, flexible thinkers with excellent communication and passion for delivering the best experience to help people get jobs.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 4 5 Engineers within the Core ProdTech global organization.
Own availability and performance of Indeed's most critical systems
Lead a team of Engineers who design, write, ship, and motivate the creation of software and systems to increase reliability and organizational efficiency
Expand the team by hiring the best engineers
Help engineers develop their careers through personal and performance management
Foster an environment of continuous learning which builds excellent engineering skill sets Maintain service health through monitoring and follow-the-sun incident response
Improve service reliability through blameless post-incident reviews and using code to prevent or respond to problem recurrence
Who You Are
Requirements:
Experience writing code in Go, Python, Javascript, React or a similar software language.
Experience managing a team of software, SRE, and/or system engineers.
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and software design and/or Linux, networking, application performance analysis.
Experience designing, writing, and/or troubleshooting software and systems in a distributed, internet-scale Linux environment.
Experience recruiting and hiring software and/or system engineers.
