This role is for an Engineering Manager on Job Seeker Notifications product. Everyday, millions of job seekers receive notifications to take timely actions in their job search journey. The team will be responsible for identifying critical triggers for notifications, recent notifications in various channels and enabling job seekers to manage them.
As the engineering manager, you will craft a long-term technology vision, deliver high quality software, help your team members to grow and deliver products. You will actively partner with Product Managers and other stakeholders to create and prioritize the product roadmap and to help refine and enhance the business strategy.
Responsibilities:
Define and drive your team's technology vision and roadmap aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
Coach engineers and provide feedback on software architecture designs and implementations of new products and features. Provide hands-on leadership for a full-stack software development team of developers charged with building and enhancing products and systems in a service-oriented, highly scalable, multi-datacenter environment.
Create an engineering culture with a high bar for quality, ownership, and bias for action. Ensure company's products are built with performance, scalability, and data-driven decision-making in mind.
Collaborate with PM, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure that our products provide the best possible customer experience. Understand the value derived from shipping code rapidly to production and learning/iterating on the results.
Manage Employee performance, set clear guidelines, write and monitor employee goals, hold employees accountable and reward employees for good performance

Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field with 5+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Javascript, Java, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Per;
OR
MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related computer technical field with 3+ years experience programming with at least one of the following languages: Javascript Java, C++, C#, Python, Go, or Perl
Strong ability to coach/mentor developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
Outstanding data analysis skills
Strong communication skills and ability to influence colleagues and executives.
Experienced in building full stack web applications. Skills in client-side JavaScript, CSS, front-end tooling, and component-driven UI development (React/Redux is a plus), IoC frameworks and Java servlet
Experienced in building highly scalable, highly resilient, globally distributed, microservices-based web applications.
Be highly collaborative and have worked with cross functional teams, such as product management, quality assurance, and site reliability.
An understanding of the value derived from shipping code rapidly to production and learning/iterating on the results. Previous experience in driving Scrum processes is a big plus.
