This position is for the Section Manager (SM) of a multi-discipline group of Vehicle Engineers for the B-2 program in OKC-Tinker, reporting to the Vehicle Engineering (VE) Department Manager, Palmdale.

The SM will lead a growing team of engineers supporting the B-2 program. SM will be responsible for leading all managerial tasks relevant to Vehicle Engineering, which may include Structural Analysis (Stress), Structural Design, and Materials & Processes. The section manager will work 80% of their time in one or more of the Vehicle Engineering disciplines, as directed by the B-2 Hardware Sustaining IPT. The manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and facilitating communications, tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews with each individual contributor's associated program task lead. For functional home room support, approximately 20% of the SM's time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, and holding performance reviews. Supporting relevant VE Northrop Grumman Aeronautical Systems Community of Practice is expected.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM and 9 years engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM and 7 years engineering experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in a vehicle engineering field such as Materials and Processes, Structural design, Stress analysis, or Subsystems.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Civil, Material, Chemical, and/or Mechanical Engineering
  • Advanced degree in Aerospace, Civil, Material, Chemical, and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Current Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance with a background investigation within five years.
  • Current Special Program Access.
  • Expert knowledge of Northrop Grumman and/or B-2 engineering processes.
  • 5 years of B-2 Hardware Sustaining engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated success in B-2 leadership/management roles.
  • Experience with B-2 BTP development and aircraft modifications.
  • Experience with CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and B-2 legacy tools.
  • Experience with Staffing Forecasting
Salary Range: $130,500 USD - $195,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
