DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Is a member of the Asset Management & Engineering organization leadership team, supporting Biologics Manufacturing Operations, Biologics Development and Cell Therapy operations.

  • Serve as a lead individual contributor within Asset Management & Engineering, and a key training resource to

  • The Site Engineering team. Collaborate with Asset Management & Engineering and other Site Engineering functions, subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams to develop and implement key learning strategies and programs in support Asset Management & Engineering and Site Engineering.

  • Provide training expertise and consultation in support of the Devens training model and process.

  • Provide guidance, expertise and consulting to functional managers and SMEs in the assessment of training needs, the design of appropriate training and development delivery methods, the design of implementation plans, and the measurement of training effectiveness.

  • Is a certified trainer and provide "train-the-trainer" support.

  • Develops, implements, and owns New Employee Orientation specifically focused on the Asset Management & Engineering function, ensuring an optimal door to floor experience to new employees, while maintaining compliance and ensuring appropriate content.

  • Utilize cost-effective, consistent and best-practice training methods and ensures compliance with both FDA regulatory and BMS compliance.

  • Assist in developing curricula for the Asset Management & Engineering function requirements and, working with area supervision, partner with Training function to manage assignments within the Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Deliver GMP/Technical training, approximately 60-70% of time.

  • Manage projects and training initiatives, which directly support the site, to effectively implement strategic business objectives in driving quality, compliance, and effectiveness.

  • Acts as a liaison and develops relationships with the site Training organization to recommend appropriate training courses, curricula, and delivery.

  • Evaluate Asset Management & Engineering training effectiveness and recommend changes in program content or methods, impact to audience, and presentation methods.

  • Broad knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Governing Building Codes, OSHA regulations, and Industry Regulations related to the manufacture of Pharmaceutical products.

  • Develops relationships with diverse groups across the client base at the Devens site. Work within a team environment with other Site Engineering functions, including Engineering and Plant Engineering in a matrix organization.

  • Customer Service is paramount, therefore must build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and local community and regulatory agencies to meet site and Business requirements.

  • Periodically will assess with the customer that expected service level is being attained and must strive to exceed such expectations. Will interface with regulatory bodies and be accountable for non-conformance investigation thoroughness with appropriate and timely CAPA implementation. Ensure compliance with plant safety regulations and environmental regulatory requirements.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Knowledge of adult learning and course design generally attained through studies resulting in a Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, instructional technology, a related discipline or its equivalent.

  • Minimum 4 years in relevant life-science industry experience (pharmaceutical/biologics) supporting a manufacturing environment and utilizing a Learning Management System.

  • In addition, experience in: (1) Instructional and curriculum design experience; (2) Facilitating and developing instructor led courses and eLearning implementation; (3) Developing, delivering and assessing training in both individual and classroom settings.

  • Knowledge of biologics manufacturing, GMPs, and support disciplines and the basic principles of each. Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and technical training requirements and associated processes.

  • A strong understanding (including practical experience and highly developed skills) with adult learning theory, instructional design and a variety of learning methodologies

  • Ability to work collaboratively with all employees at all level.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and eLearning Tools (i.e. Articulate, Lectora, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)

  • Project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to perform well in a team-based environment.

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (i.e. Success Factors, Saba, ISOTrain, etc.)

  • Experience determining objectives of significant projects or assignments.
