Job Overview
Sewickley Academy is seeking to hire a Maintenance/HVAC Tech. This position is accountable for providing timely and effective maintenance and repair to Sewickley Academy's mechanical systems as directed by the Facilities Supervisor. Responsibilities include: plumbing, heating, air conditioning, minor electrical work and other general maintenance needs as required to provide a safe and operational physical plant.

Responsibilities:
• Address daily maintenance request related to HVAC and other maintenance needs as directed.
• Daily review and troubleshooting existing HVAC System, including monitoring building control systems to assure mechanical equipment is functioning properly.
• Identify deferred maintenance needs as well as capital improvements.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, and required documentation for life safety inspections, elevator inspections, lighting inspections and any other necessary records
• Position will require on call duties and may require after hours work, as needed, to address facility needs that may arise from time to time outside the typical 6am to 2pm work hours.
• Assist with snow removal during the winter months. Training will be provided if no previous work experience. Entire day shift maintenance staff provides snow removal support during the winter months.
• Assist with other general maintenance tasks as needed to support the facilities maintenance department.
• Assist with event setups such as Graduation and other special events hosted throughout the year for School activities.

- 3-5 years HVAC maintenance experience in a School or College facilities department or similar maintenance experience working in a hotel, apartment, or hospital setting.
- Extensive knowledge of chillers/boilers, and H.V.A.C., including building controls for the system's operation (preferred).
- Excellent customer service and computer skills.
- Work as a team member to address the physical plant needs of the School.
- Valid PA Driver's license.
- Ability to stand, climb and walk throughout the majority of the work day.
