Under supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will manage a range of maintenance needs to ensure preventative/proactive maintenance and repairs are completed in a safe, timely, efficient, and quality manner.
What You'll Do:
• During regular production periods, perform repairs and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and controls to ensure minimal delay or downtime
• Engage in numerous preventative maintenance procedures specifically pertaining to overall machinery operations controlled by electrical components
• Denote the skills that must be verified by a certificate of completion in continued education; Specialized skills or technical training may be substituted to fulfill part of this requirement at the discretion of maintenance management
• Demonstrate compliance with and enforce safety and environmental procedures
• Must display a dedication to excellence, example, and the absence of crisis through preventative maintenance

What We Need from You:
• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
• Industrial electrical maintenance certification or equivalent experience and training
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and follow written/verbal directions
• Physical capability to move freely throughout the facility; walk, bend, use ladders, lift 50 pounds on regular basis, and operate powered machinery and tools
• Must be trained in hazard recognition, PPE requirements and use, lockout/tagout, confined space procedures, emergency procedures, and any other safety requirements for employment at Grede
• Required to pass a respirator fit test and follow requirements when working in regulated areas
