Job Overview
Major objectives:
- Adhere to safety, environmental and company regulations.
- Maintain a good attendance, safety and discipline record.

- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly.
- Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
- Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
- Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Inspect drives, motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters or perform other maintenance actions by following checklists.
-Works on all voltages, MCC units, power distribution equipment etc
-Create electrical schematic when required. Program and configure PLC, touch screen
- Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, using blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
-replace damaged or broken wires and cables. Also, diagnose faulty mechanical, hydraulic,- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Specify, cost, and order materials needed to maintain plant facilities, machines and equipment.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Proven proficiency working with Basic Tool Room Equipment, Hydraulic systems, Programmable Logic Controllers and Ladder Logic.
Physical Demands of the Position:
Standing, walking, kneeling and bending approximately 85% of day
Computer and administrative work approximately 15% of day
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 - 75 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively.
Qualifications:
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Must be able to do basic math: add, subtract, multiply & divide.
Must possess effective communication skills - verbal & written
High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualification:
AA degree in Electro Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or some other type of technical area directly related to the general maintenance field.
