Job Overview
MAINTENANCE TECH PAY RANGE: $15.00 - $25.00/hour (based upon hands on experience and certifications), bonus program and full benefits!
THE COMPANY: Real Equity Management is a property management firm, with a portfolio of assets centered around both commercial and residential real estate. Our primary focus, however, is in market-rate and student, multi-family communities. To date, we oversee leasing efforts for over 3,500 beds in Missouri alone, in addition to properties located in both Oklahoma and Kentucky.
MAINTENANCE SERVICE TECHNICIAN POSITION: Our Building Maintenance Service Technicians assist our Maintenance Department with inbound maintenance requests for a defined property in our portfolio. Maintenance Service Technicians are responsible for ensuring that apartment units and other property facilities are in excellent working order. Your day-to-day will revolve around diagnostics and repair of air conditioning and heating units, basic troubleshooting of electrical appliances and outlets, repair basic plumbing issues, patch holes or cracks in drywall, etc. Our Maintenance Service Technicians also assists others in related positions including assisting in preparing recently vacated apartment units for rent availability, landscape projects, and renovation projects.
MAINTENANCE SERVICE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess repair and service orders estimating time to complete and scope of repair needed.
Respond to and complete repair work and service orders in a timely fashion.
Follow up with residents after completing repair work to ensure problem is fixed, reducing repeat repair tickets.
Perform routine repairs as well as follow through on scheduled preventive maintenance service.
Maintain material and supply inventory, ordering materials when needed.
Assist with the turn of vacated units in preparation for new resident move in.
Oversee work performed by outside contractors when needed, especially during apartment turns.
Assist with various landscape and renovation projects.
MAINTENANCE SERVICE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST HAVE: 1+ years experience in maintenance or construction; exposure to electrical, plumbing, painting and drywall work.
MUST HAVE: Clean background, great attitude and professional demeanor
Must reside within 20 miles of the Columbia area due to on call requirements.
HVAC experience or EPA certified a plus
Must meet the physical demands of continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, heavy lifting and carrying items of 50lbs or greater.
