JOB SUMMARY
We seek a dedicated individual who will be responsible for performing various mechanical, maintenance, and repair work including the inspection and maintenance work required for rotating machinery and equipment used for accepting and processing waste and recyclables at the Transfer Station. The Technician will be required to inspect, adjust, repair, or modify the mechanics of various rolling stock and facility machinery, including but not limited to wheel loaders, dozers, yard tractors, trucks, cranes, chassis, walking floor trailers, intermodal containers, and compactors.

JOB SUMMARY
We seek a dedicated individual who will be responsible for performing various mechanical, maintenance, and repair work including the inspection and maintenance work required for rotating machinery and equipment used for accepting and processing waste and recyclables at the Transfer Station. The Technician will be required to inspect, adjust, repair, or modify the mechanics of various rolling stock and facility machinery, including but not limited to wheel loaders, dozers, yard tractors, trucks, cranes, chassis, walking floor trailers, intermodal containers, and compactors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The inspection and maintenance work required for rotating machinery and equipment.
- Inspect and adjust, as necessary, the mechanical alignment, balance, level, and general condition of rotating equipment throughout the Transfer Station
- Perform welding in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Actively participate in the periodic teardown and internal inspection of major equipment
- Use various shop equipment in the performance of his/her assigned tasks
- Read and interpret measuring tools, blueprints, P&IDs, graphs, and technical manuals
- Follow all health and safety rules and regulations mandated by law and per the policies and procedures
- Keep the work area clean, safe and orderly
- 3+ years of heavy equipment/machinery and truck maintenance and repair
- Experience working with diesel engines required
- Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and PLC systems preferred
- Basic welding experience preferred
- Experience in the Waste/Recycling industry a plus
- High School or GED
