Description:

Perform duties to set up and operate department cleaning equipment, maintain facility cleanliness in all areas inside and out, manage outside janitorial services/groundskeepers. Escort outside services and contractors into the building to their onsite contacts or planned work site. Review all safety and security policies and procedures prior to permitting access.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders assigned by our CMMS
• Safely handle hazardous waste and related procedures
• Operate forklift
• Operate mobile cleaning equipment (such as, but not limited to, floor scrubber)
• Maintain cleanliness of the entire plant inside and out utilizing various cleaning tools and chemicals
• Manage the janitorial service for restrooms, office areas, and other assigned areas
• Work with department supervisors to enforce 5S cleanliness standards throughout the plant
• Work with our maintenance technicians whenever help is needed. (i.e., helping hold large/heavy items so technician can complete the job quick and safely)
• Check-in contractors and outside services into the building and make sure they follow the company policy
• Proper handling and storage of chemicals used in cleaning the facility
• Drive improvements to improve facility looks and cleanliness
• Understanding of hazards related to job responsibilities and performing the job duties safely
  

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Skilled at weights and measures. Be able to correctly dilute cleaning chemicals as needed
• Good communication skills in the English language (written, verbal, inter-personal)
• Previous recent minimum six months related experience or certificate/training in related field
• Plumbing, mechanical, electrical or HVAC experience a plus, but not required
