We are seeking a Maintenance Technician (Contract, Onsite) to play an integral role in our production facility. This position will support the production of new products into manufacturing. The right candidate will apply their knowledge of procedures, processes, materials, and equipment to perform manufacturing of product in our facility that delivers innovative and reliable hardware. Inflammatix is a venture-backed diagnostics company bringing the power of precision medicine to the point-of-care. We are building novel diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive tests that combine rapid detection of human immune gene expression (mRNA) panels with advanced machine learning. These tests will be performed on our rapid point-of-care instrument currently under development.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleaning, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining all production equipment/fixtures/tooling used to manufacture Inflammatix's cartridges on the assembly line
• Startup and shutdown of all manufacturing equipment and assembly modules
• Inspecting in-line product during the manufacturing process to ensure products are made to quality specifications
• Properly escalate production issues on the floor
• Properly document equipment failures and issues
• Oversee all production equipment; ensuring all equipment settings and modes are functioning appropriately.
• Ensuring equipment/maintenance logs and all documentation are filled out appropriately
• Ensuring production floor/work area is cleaned, organized, and all equipment, machines, and workspaces are maintained

QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma (or equivalent), an Associate degree, or certification in a manufacturing technology or similar specialty (preferred)
• 1+ years of experience working in a Medical Device Industry in cleanroom or Controlled Environment Room (CER)/ISO environment (ISO13485)
• 2+ years of experience working with industrial equipment: laser welders, heat-staking, automated component placers, automated assembly modules, conveyer belts, pick/place robotic arms
• Experience performing in-line production inspection for equipment quality issues and able to determine non-conformances and/or deviations to the product
• Computer skills and experience with common software; Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, email)
• Ability to read engineering documentation
• Experience with making redlines to documents and/or writing protocols
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

• Strong verbal communication skills, an ability to closely follow written work instructions, and able to understand manufacturing flow
• Organizational and self-management skills with solid reasoning ability to contribute to solving shop challenges as they arise

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• This is a job that is performed in a manufacturing shop setting with loud machining equipment
• Standing or sitting for extended periods may be required at times
• Some moderate to heavy lifting is likely (ability to lift up to 40 lbs)
• Good manual dexterity for the use of common shop tools and equipment
• Occasional overtime hours to be performed as needed

COMPENSATION AND CLASSIFICATION:

• Classification: Temporary; 40 hours per week
• Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience
