TXM are currently supporting a continually growing automation business, who are a leader in solutions development for the consumer goods, production and logistics markets as they search for a Maintenance Team Leadto join them at a brand-new facility. You will play a key role in ensuring the site is running at optimum efficiency and meeting targets through the supervision of a multidisciplined engineering team, leading them through ongoing planned and reactive maintenance as well as CI/project work.

This role is working a Panama shift pattern with the following shift options -

Days - 07:00am - 19:30pm.

Nights - 19:00pm - 07:30am

Working only 14 days a month and having 2 weekends free per month. Alongside the salary, you will also receive 401k, medical, dental and life insurance, as well as a profit share scheme and a 3-week holiday allowance.

Responsibilities:

• Effective use of the CMMS system to plan and allocate work within your shift team. Both planned maintenance and breakdown response.
• Identifying any training and development needs within your team and actioning those to support continued development of engineers/technicians.
• Leadership of a multi-disciplined team of technicians on a shift basis - people management, performance reviews, recruitment & onboarding.
• Compiling shift reports against KPI's and conducting data analysis.
• Ensuring health & safety protocols are being followed on site.
• Implementation of lean methodologies to support a continuous improvement culture - 5S, Six Sigma.
• Involvement in management meetings on a regular basis.
• Ensuring efficient and effective use of inventory.
• Hands on as required, responding to all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues. Be the subject matter expert when supporting your team of technicians.

Experience & requirements for the role:

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Team Lead/Supervisor role.
• Worked within a fast paced, high volume environment previously - FMCG, automated warehousing, food production, packaging or pharmaceuticals would prove a good transfer.
• Qualified Technician or qualified by experience.
• Eligibility to work in the USA.
• Worked on PLC systems, sensors, motors, inverters, control panels, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes previously.
• Experienced in performing planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns and involvement in CI work.
• Developed teams of technicians previously.
• Worked on and led capital projects.
• Planning and allocation of workloads.
