Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor assists the Plant Engineer in leading and directing salaried and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of the plant engineering function, including installation, and repair and maintenance of all plant systems, equipment, grounds and facilities. This individual is expected to place an emphasis on providing a committed and high level of technical service in a safe manner, while partnering with other leaders to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency.

The Maintenance Supervisor Should Have

• Strong maintenance and/or furnace operations background
• Experience with maintenance management software, preferably SAP
• Experience in a maintenance leadership role
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization

The Maintenance Supervisor Will

• Assist in directing preventive maintenance programs
• Coordinate and supervise all construction and service work performed by outside contractors
• Conduct periodic inspection of all plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds. Oversees all changes or upgrades.
• Ensure efficiency and high standards are maintained
• Support compliance efforts with local, state and federal regulations concerning environmental affairs, OSHA, NFPA, and other government agencies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor degree in Engineering is preferred
• Glass industry experience is preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
