Maintenance Planner & Scheduler

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

• Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible;
• Assess impacts to the critical path and near critical activities and report to the project team;
• Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the developing alternate methods for corrective action;
• Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis;
• Maintain record of scope changes, trends and variances that potentially affect schedule performance;
• Assure credibility of the information contained in the schedule;
• Review schedules with team members on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the schedule;
• Ensure resources are aligned to schedule activities, analyze loading requirements and required resource levels and check for constraints;
• Provide regular progress updates, highlighting variances from the baseline; recommend corrective actions that mitigate potential delays or progress slippage;
• Utilize tools and software to report and analyze cost performance ;
• Train and support designated team members on scheduling tasks as needed;
• Communicate and coordinate with local vendors and contractors;
• Planning (includes purchasing and receiving parts);
• Manage parts inventory and spare parts strategy;
• Schedule maintenance and facilities work activities.

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our life values, more specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required qualifications:

• 3 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Understanding and experience with operations preferred;
• Understanding and ability to plan and schedule design build projects;
• Prior experience scheduling projects desired;
• Proficiency with MS Office products;
• Proficiency with a CMMS (maintenance connection, maximo, or SAP);
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team;
• Effective communication and organizational skills;
• Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner;
• Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast paced office environment.
