POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic/ Electrician is responsible troubleshooting, repairing, installing and performing all mechanical and electrical maintenance of new and existing equipment.
SHIFT
2nd Shift (3PM-11PM)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
Troubleshoots all electrical breakdowns and makes repairs
Installs new or purchased equipment
Supplies proper information for the acquisition of replacement parts
Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and systems to diagnose cause of malfunction
Tests electronic components and circuits to locate defects
Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts
Aligns, adjusts and calibrates equipment according to specifications
Calibrates testing instruments
Maintains records of repairs, calibrations and tests
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent education required
2-year certification from a trade school and/or 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or related area.
Willing and able to work overtime as needed
Basic math skills
Computer data entry skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to withstand physical demands such as standing, climbing, kneeling and/or crawling
Ability to work in areas of fluctuating temperatures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $27.00 per hour
