You will work under immediate supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented technicians, operators, and engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of catalyst products by, testing and/or validating equipment. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of the site's commitment to the organization and its customers. Key Responsibilities • Review drawings and schematics (e.g., P&IDs, equipment diagrams, isometric drawings, etc.) • Perform testing of process and utility equipment • Perform preventative maintenance inspections, verifications, cleaning, replacements, and alignments • Perform routine maintenance tasks and corrective maintenance including repair/replacement of defective mechanical components and related hardware • Operate industrial mobile equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom/aerial lifts; climb ladders and/or scaffolds; and utilize fall protection equipment as required to complete work tasks • Prepare & update equipment records, requisition parts/materials for order, and close work orders in SAP • Maintain work areas (for shop and field work) • Perform equipment troubleshooting and identify root causes for malfunctions & equipment failures - Gather information; understand the malfunction; identify which parameters can & will be evaluated; identify source of the problem; make corrections/repairs; verify repairs; determine root cause of failure; document and share lessons learned • Installation and maintenance of process and utility equipment Typical Responsibilities • General mechanical repair & installation: - Inspection, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, or installation of various equipment and equipment components: (basic lifting and rigging included) -Rotating Equipment such as centrifugal pumps (e.g., ANSI pumps Durco, Goulds, etc.), blowers (centrifugal, positive displacement, etc.), gearboxes & torque arms, rotary airlocks, screw conveyors, etc. • Focus area - experience with bearing replacement, shaft coupling & alignment, roller chain/sprockets, bushings/sheaves/belts, packing glands/stuffing boxes, mechanical seals, impellers/clearances, abnormal wear, etc. -Other equipment: belt conveyors, roller conveyors (e.g., drum rollers), bucket elevators, gyratory screeners/sifters, pneumatic AODD pumps, hydraulic equipment (hydraulic pump, hoses, fittings), and more • Focus area - experience with component replacement, rebuild, overhauls - Replacement of common equipment - gaskets, O-rings, hoses, filters, strainers, tires, and other items as needed • Fit, Fabricate, Assemble, and Install: (welding, brazing, & sweating skills not required, but are valued) - Structural components, fasteners, and miscellaneous equipment: -Drill & tap holes; cut threaded rod or bolts/capscrews; cut steel shapes ("C" channel, "L" angle iron, flat bar stock, strut/B channel, etc.) or steel plate; install supports, clamps, hangers, or other hardware/structural components as needed - Piping (metallic and non-metallic): Steel, CPVC, etc. -Cut, thread, fit, and assemble pipe, fittings, valves, and associated hardware and fasteners -Remove insulation and/or install temporary insulation as required - Tubing (metallic and non-metallic): Copper, Stainless, Poly, etc. -Bend, cut, fit, and assemble tubing, fittings, valves, and associated hardware - Other materials: (e.g., wood) -It may be necessary to build or otherwise repair something such as a crate or pallet to support shipping equipment for offsite repairs • Ability to lift 35 pounds Night and weekend support will be assigned as needed YOU MUST HAVE • High School Diploma or GED WE VALUE • Relevant industry and trade school certifications (e.g., skill areas such as pump repair, welding, etc.) • Experience with CMMS/work order system such as SAP or Maximo • Willingness to work from heights or within confined spaces as needed • Ability to use computers and computer interfaces • Focus on important information and identify key details • Clear and concise communications • Analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts • Significant relevant experience Additional Information: JOB ID: HRD178973 UOP102020
