Responsibilities
The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process according to standards. Checks and inspects all equipment periodically to determine the need for repair or preventative maintenance. Carries out preventive maintenance on production equipment, or systems as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Cleans and organizes work place to ensure both operating and safety conditions. Documents all work performed; complies with acceptable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards.
Uses critical thinking skills to determine possible causes of equipment failures. Responsible to communicate with employees and management as to potential problems that need addressing or opportunities that may be acted upon. Stay in compliance with all training requirements as assigned.
Requirements
Must have good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Must have 3 years experience in a highly technical environment
Must have a high school education
Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematics at a level to be able to complete technical work.
Prefer additional technical education.
Prefer experience in a highly regulated environment.
