Description A Maintenance Manager job in Tacoma, WA, is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. In this role, you will oversee the plant operations from a maintenance perspective. Responsible for the management of all plant equipment, facilities, and grounds. You should have ten years of leadership experience and a four-year degree in engineering or a related field. Maintenance Manager job responsibilities include: Assists and develops direct reports to achieve desired results. Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper orientations, training, development, compensation, and working conditions are present. Supervise personnel Purchase materials and supplies for the uptake of facilities and machines Manage departmental budget Responsible for planning work time to meet all needs of the plant. Ability to work in adverse conditions safely and ensure the safety of personnel. Actively participate in the Safety Committee. Work with Engineering to modify existing equipment for new uses. Fabricate new equipment; install new equipment. Assist Plant leader with the selection of equipment and plant layout. Design and implement the preventive maintenance system. Provide technical assistance to the production department and work with production personnel to maintain and improve quality. Reflect Milgard business values and the Milgard Philosophy in all business interactions. Ensure the safety of personnel and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations. Requirements Qualifications: Ten years of related responsibilities and supervision experience are required. Four-year degree in engineering or related field preferred Demonstrable experience may be accepted in place of credentials. Working knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling. Must be able to read and follow blueprints and schematics.
