Job description:

Requirements: Technical post-secondary education with 5+ years of maintenance management in an industrial environment, preferably Automotive Manufacturing. Strong PM Management skillset to develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment uptime and enhance plant productivity. Electrical, mechanical skills and experience in manufacturing processes to determine equipment, material and manpower needs and to develop and coordinate equipment repair processes. Experience and demonstrated success in coordinating extensive internal and external project resources; excellent understanding of strategic and operational planning.

Excellent understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts, principles and philosophies. Excellent understanding of capital expenditures and expense budgeting.

Responsibilities: Able to development and implement plans to improve plant maintenance performance and support operational objectives, aligning targets and objectives with the goals of the department. Participate and execute strategies and initiatives that enable the facility to meet or exceed its business objectives. Continuous and sustained effort to improve the operation of the Maintenance function. Enhance the manufacturing process through improvements in machinery and equipment such as robots, automated material handling and CNC machinery. Research opportunities for economical application of labour-saving tools, techniques and equipment for maintenance activities. Manage plant stores inventory, monitoring levels of production and maintenance supplies to balance adequate stock vs established budget. Applies reliability engineering to effectively control costs and repetitive maintenance situations.
