How You Will Contribute: You will manage the maintenance team for the operation of this large apartment community. You will be positioned for complete success through our innovative training and onboarding program before you set foot on your properties.
Your Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance team, including assignment of work orders
• Ensure adequate staffing levels, including timely recruiting and hiring efforts and appropriate balancing of specific skilled technicians (HVAC, plumbing and electrical)
• Develop and manage the maintenance staff schedule
• Perform pre-REAC and REAC inspections for the community and report findings to Sr. Community Manager
• Perform maintenance tasks as needed
Success Criteria:
• Minimum 5 years previous experience in a supervisory role
• Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience as a Maintenance Technician
• Solid knowledge of computer-based software and tools, including proficiency with smart phone
Physical Demands: Position requires extensive walking, stooping/bending, balancing, kneeling, squatting, and climbing. Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. Requires talking, seeing, and hearing with reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment: Travel between communities within the district may be required, depending on need. Position requires work to be performed indoors and outside. Indoor working conditions are often inside a residence within the community, a communal area, or in the designated maintenance shop area. Outside work is throughout the community grounds and outdoor communal areas.
