Our food manufacturing client in the Minneapolis, MN area is looking to hire a Maintenance Lead to their 12 hour night shift (6pm-6am). This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Lead will interface with Production Supervisors, Planning, Leads, and Operator to gather information on issues surrounding the performance of Production and Process equipment. The Maintenance Lead coordinates repairs, labor and resources, as well as provides requisitions for repair parts and acts as Maintenance Supervisor when requested.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading all classifications of maintenance.
Primary trainer/training coordinator for Craftsmen.
Troubleshooting/repairing: electronics, control systems, electrical problems, refrigeration units, packaging equipment, processing equipment.
Draft purchase requisitions/make purchase recommendations.
Responsible for creation of, assigning of, follow-up/auditing of and closing of work orders.
Assist and complete special projects.
Effectively communicate relevant information to fellow employees.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
Job Qualifications:
One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
Team Play; works well as a member of a group.
Leader; inspires teammates to follow them.
Detail Oriented; capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
Dedicated; devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity.
