Maintenance Lead

Stratas Foods LLC is the leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America and is a producer of quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise and sauces. Job Description
This position supports operation by providing leadership to the packaging areas. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required
The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, and operate a motorized fork lift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Primary Duties

Coordinate production with production scheduler and operators
Direct and assign housekeeping duties to maintain clean production areas
Update cleaning schedule logs
Assure quality of product produced
Fill in on production lines as needed (breaks, lunches, vacations, etc.)
Identify needed mechanical improvements
Make necessary mechanical repairs when possible
Identify and work to eliminate unsafe conditions and or practices
Monitor completion and accuracy of production reports
Plan/prepare oil so operator is not waiting for product
Coordinate all ammonia leaks or shut downs Safely

  Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  
  Related Experience: Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
