Job Overview
he Maintenance Inventory - PM Coordinator is responsible for maintaining correct part/supply inventory levels, coordinating with MRO buyer for replenishment, and coordinating preventative maintenance activities for all production equipment using Express Maintenance program.
Establishes effective inventory control program, including setting minimum order quantity thresholds in conjunction with MRO Buyer. Communicates with maintenance team regarding part requests. Ensures integrity of Express Maintenance database and corrects part counts and supplies as needed. Manages cleanliness and organization of stock room.
Creates and distributes preventative maintenance work orders as required. Communicates to department managers to inform and arrange for downtime in conjunction with PM. Ensures PM is performed as required and enters completion information into Express Maintenance database. Reviews manufacturer's operation manuals to determine optimum frequency of preventative maintenance.
Collects and compiles data regarding the performance of preventative maintenance, routinely evaluates the preventative maintenance program (task frequency, completion rate, timeliness, performance results, etc.) and recommends adjustments or improvements to the program.
Works closely with production management in developing, implementing, and monitoring preventative maintenance programs for production equipment.
Keeps accurate records in the CMM's on all aspects of the systems such as equipment characteristics, breakdowns, associated repairs, equipment replacements, and generates reports to assist for audit purposes.
Coordinates and schedules preventative maintenance work with outside contractors, production management and scheduling department.
Performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Knowledge:
Basic maintenance knowledge, i.e. knowledge of tools, parts, and materials.
At least five years of experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial facilities is required.
Experience with a CMMS system, including data entry, scheduling, and report generation.
Preferred experience with electrical and mechanical on food manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret schematics.
Associate Degree preferred.
Previous stock room, or inventory experience preferred.
Quality planning skills and ability to work with other departments necessary
Computer skills with database usage required.
Skills and Competencies:
Able to speak, read, and write English
Good communication skills and the ability to maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers/department leaders is necessary.
Detail oriented with good math skills.
