HOURS Monday - Thursday 3 pm - 1 am with optional OT every Friday!

General Summary

The Maintenance - Electronic position is critical in the maintenance and/or repair of equipment/machines used for the manufacturing of quality products that meet customer requirements. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for performing activities outlined below

Principal Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)

• Examine machines and equipment to diagnose trouble, dismantle machines, replace defective parts and reassemble machines.
• Diagnose electronic and electrical equipment failures
• Repair components and other equipment related to N/C controlled machines, peripheral equipment and other electronic systems.
• Produce replacement parts and new parts necessary to repair and maintain all mechanical equipment
• Set-up and operate machine tools to make replacement parts
• Perform machine PM's (preventive maintenance)

Education And Experience

• Must have 2-year degree in mechatronics, instrumentation or 5+ years of equivalent experience
• Preferred background in diagnosing and repairing equipment related to N/C controlled machines, peripheral equipment and other electronic systems.
• High degree of skill required in scraping of ways and bearings and fitting of parts

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Working in awkward positions (E.g. twisting, bending, kneeling, crouching) when diagnosing and/or repairing equipment.
• Lifting of equipment/machine components or replacement parts up to 50 lbs.
• Use of diagnostic tools to determine electronic and electrical equipment/machine failure
• Use of tools and/or machines to make replacement parts
• Minimal typing/data entry.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Conditions consist mainly of inspecting, diagnosing and/or repairing equipment related to N/C controlled machines, peripheral equipment and other electronic systems.
• Conditions also consist of setting up and operating machine tools to make replacement parts.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirator, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes, safety glasses and other PPE depending on the task.
