Job Overview
Assisted Living facility, located on Long Island, is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the care and maintenance of all aspects of the facility, to train and supervise the maintenance staff, to purchase supplies, materials and equipment as needed and to do hands on repairs throughout the community.
Responsibilities include:
Train and supervise maintenance staff. Prepare work schedules and follow up on work orders to ensure timely response and completion.
Set up preventative maintenance schedules and do periodic inspections of preperty (checking roof, building facade, grounds, parking lot, steps, etc.).
Inspect common area daily to assess maintenance needs.
Maintain grounds and outside areas such as sprinkler system, lighting, signage, parking lots to ensure everything is maintained in a clean, safe, and good working condition.
Ensure all equipment and systems function properly and safely and are in compliance with federal, state and local OSHA standards.
Make ready and inspect all apartments prior to occupancy
Willing to be on call to respond to emergency situations as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience as Maintenance Supervisor with experience in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance.
Possess a friendly, professional demeanor.
Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
Must have good inter-departmental communication and teamwork skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be vaccinated.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
