Job Overview
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for ensuring our Resort runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible for the guests staying at Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort and Conference Centre. The Maintenance Associate role is a Guest Service oriented position with a primary focus on attention to detail.
Hours of work:
Hours of work will vary based on business levels
It is a full time position with varying day, evening, weekend and holiday work
Duties & Responsibilities:
Plumbing i.e. faucets, toilets, hot water tanks etc.
Electrical i.e. switches, sockets, lights etc.
Mechanical i.e. equipment servicing etc.
Golf cart repairs
Pool & Whirlpool maintenance and water conditioning while ensuring Parksville Health Authority Regulations are met
Preparation of firewood for guest use i.e. ordering, splitting, stacking, delivery and kindling prep
Assisting with building of guest fires
Garbage and recycle collection and sorting
Drywall repair
Painting and staining (refinishing)
Landscape clean-up & maintenance i.e. pressure washing, grass cutting, weeding, watering, etc.
Assisting with guest room deliveries
Assisting with guest room moves
Driving shuttle
Electronic lock servicing
Cleaning, i.e. carpets etc.
Gas & electric fireplace servicing
Maintaining and organizing tools
Working on our Preventative Maintenance Program
Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager

Job Requirements

Able to work under pressure and maintain a positive work environment
Excellent customer service skills
Computer skills (use of Property Management System)
