We are currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance Department! Flexible hours and days are available; just ask and we are happy to discuss with you! Join a team who has fun together and enjoys interacting with our caring residents.

Responsibilities:
Performing all assigned duties, including but not limited to; Trash pick-up, painting, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, electrical, and furniture moving.
Assisting with apartment turnover duties, including but not limited to; painting, sheet rock repair and carpentry.
Ability to report to work in an emergency situation including, but not limited to: Snow storms; hurricanes; floods; fires; essential equipment failures or malfunction.
Assisting on weekend coverage with other maintenance staff.
Assume responsibility for self-safety and that of the immediate environment.
Report updates to the Facilities Manager and Supervisor regularly and in emergencies.
Being available for emergency calls on an alternating basis with other maintenance staff.
Attending annual in-service programs including but not limited to body mechanics, right-to-know information, and fire and safety procedures.
Performing additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/Facilities Manager.
Qualifications:
Mechanical and electrical knowledge and a working knowledge of the trades.
Painting, sheet rock repair and carpentry skills.
Must be able to stand, walk, push with repetition and lift up to 50lbs.
Must have ability to read, speak and write and follow oral and written instructions.
High school education or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License.
