Position Description:
Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. This advanced role may also act as a group leader.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Installs, starts up, troubleshoots, and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
Follows safety requirements for working with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components and assist in maintaining a culture of safety compliance.
Download, troubleshoot, read, and edit PLC logic, HMI programs, and electrical device parameters.
Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
Ensure testing issues are documented and resolved in a timely manner.
Document, maintain and update testing procedures; collaborate with internal teams to ensure machine documentation is updated.
Ensure machine testing is being performed and documented correctly; ensure software backups are being created.
Maintain testing materials required for use in evaluating machine.
Assess workforce needs and review with supervisor; assign work in accordance with priority and individual capability.
Attend key daily operational meetings; organize and facilitate checkout meetings.
Review and communicate team's performance against KPIs; suggest a plan of action to correct missed opportunities.
Performs mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic assembly work as required or as directed.
Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or above in engineering preferred.
Typically has 5+ years of related experience in or training in testing/inspecting corrugated machinery.
