Job Overview
Position Title: Esthetician/Laser Technician
Position Summary: Skillfully provides skincare treatments on patients and performs laser procedures. Assists in growth of practice and enhancement of the patient experience.
Office Hours: Lux Med Spa is open Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm & Fridays 10am-5pm. Saturdays are rotating for providers.
Qualifications: Active Esthetician Licence from the Georgia Board of Cosmetology. Active Senior Laser Practitioner Licence from the Georgia Medical Composite Board.

Essential functions:
Discusses client's goals - educates, set expectations, and creates long term skincare plans to increase loyalty and retention. Prescribes appropriate skin care regimens for each client based on their unique needs.
Knowledge of procedures including but not limited to: Sciton Lasers (BBL, Moxie, Halo), Chemical Peels, Diamond Glow, Facials, Contour TRL, Lash Tint, Microneedling, Morpheus8, Opus Plasma & ThermiSmooth
Demonstrates to client how to wash and clean skin properly.
Uses special techniques and products, such as peels and masks to treat facial skin.
Introduce and encourage clients to join LUXurious Skin Membership.
Cross sell and promote all spa services and products and surgery.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace before, during, and after performing services. Sanitize tools, equipment, and work area.
Work in tandem with Spa Manager and all other providers to achieve spa goals.
Respond to aesthetic inquiries immediately and documents notes in NexTech for follow up.
Communicate spa needs, concerns, and recommendations with Spa Manager.
Attend work events as required.
Ensure client paperwork, including intake forms and treatment records. Are filled out completely and accurately in NexTech.
Enter aesthetic treatment bill for accurate and expedited check our process.
Ensure client records are stored securely including digital files such as before and after photos taken on electronic devices.
Follow up with clients 24-48 hours after treatment via email or phone call.
Stay up to date on industry innovation, treatments, protocols, and products.
Restock rooms and product, as needed.
All other duties as assigned by lead aesthetician or Spa Manager.
Competencies:
Knowledge of electronic medical record and practice management systems, specifically NexTech PM and EMR.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of medical office principles, standards, applications, and tests.
Knowledge of medical office safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations.
Knowledge of medical office equipment uses and maintenance.
Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Communication - Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Computer Skills - Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record.
Confidentiality - Maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality. Comply with all HIPAA regulations.
