The Lead Engineer (Mechanical Components) for LWI (Light Well Intervention) will have the responsibility of the execution of the technical tasks assigned as part of a team or individually. They are capable of taking lead and making technical decisions with minimum help to execute the tasks within the schedule and maintain quality. They will provide clear guidance and conduct detail/conception engineering, repair, modification, recertification, mob/demob, workshop testing and documentation. The job will be based in Houston but predominantly will be working on both national and international projects for Baker Hughes. The expectation of the role will require occasional offshore support/rotation during operations to familiarize with Operations and Execution.

As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing Operational support and technical management of LWI systems and operational procedures
- Managing engineering deliverables across typical project execution, including schedules, resource planning, Technical Readiness reviews, lessons learned, risk assessments, MOC, etc.
- Interpretation of clients' standards and global practices
- Provide customer contact particular to technical clarifications
- Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products
- Developing new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations.
- Working together with business leaders. Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done.
- Delivering products as part of a team. Works on cross-functional teams. Alternatively: Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
- Promoting team professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching and counselling
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Mechanical Component/Engineering/Technology)
- Have extensive experience and proven track record with CWOR systems, BOPs, and XT products
- Have experience within the subsea industry: preferably Interventions, Intervention systems, BOP, etc.
- Have knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., BSEE, ISO, ASME, API etc.)
- Have solid presentation and written skills to enable clear delivery of information to all.
