Lead DevOps Network Automation Engineer (Remote-Eligible)

We are seeking DevOps Engineers who are passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

The Network Resilience team at Capital One focuses on proving out our resilient network infrastructure, automating the testing required to respond to internal and external audits and reviews of both our processes and results. Current initiatives include expanding use of Automation and Orchestration tools and expanding automated testing beyond network core to load balancers, firewalls, etc.

What You'll Do:

• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community

• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver automation solutions that drive efficiencies in areas such as device upgrades, network testing, data gathering, and report generation

• Utilize programming languages like Python, SQL, and CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services

• Stay updated on networking technologies, including Cisco, F5, PAN, and AWS

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• At least 6 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (Internship experience does not apply)

• At least 3 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

• At least 4 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with coding and scripting (Python, Bash, Perl)

• 4+ years of experience with Ansible, JSON, or YAML

• 4+ years of experience using Network Automation Tools

• 2+ years of experience with Itential

• 2+ years of experience working within Agile Development Practices

• CCNA certification or equivalent Cisco experience
