Job Description

CRB is seeking exceptional candidates to fill newly created positions focused on Control Systems Integration (CSI) business. In 2022, CRB initiated the buildout of our Control Systems Integration business to manage our trade partners as well as self-perform CSI services while delivering significant value to our clients. This business will be involved in projects from the beginning of process design through startup and ongoing support of our client's systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in building and recognizing the full potential of this new and expanding business. This position can be located at any US CRB office location and may be considered for remote work mode. Ideally targeting individuals to be near our Kansas City, Omaha or St. Louis offices.

The Lead Control Systems Developer position will be placed in a leadership role for projects. This includes programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of complex, technically oriented and sensitive computerized automated control systems. This position will be involved as a team lead for projects working under the direction of a Project Manager and Director of Automation Delivery. This position will lead a small group of Control System Developers and Application Developers.

• Ensuring the planning and design of significant portions of a control system with minimal supervision.
• Working with the team to implement portions of a control system.
• Responsible for monitoring quality of programmer's work and adhering to programming standards. Also is the technical leader on assigned projects.
• Technical sales - working with Business Development to help gather requirement, develop proposal materials, etc.
• Takes a lead in providing for the training of other CRB employees in the division.
• Performs the duties of project management on small projects.
• Performs technical design and helps in estimating on assigned projects.
• Troubleshooting and advanced programming may be required.
• Configuration, installation and troubleshooting of PC/PLC hardware and software, and customer networks.
• Oversees the installation and start-up of a control system on a customer's site, as well as supervises the start-up team while on-site.
• Coordination with trade partners in the electrical and automation space.
• Oversees in-house and in-plant customer operator training for the control system.
• Maintains confidentiality on potentially sensitive customer information.
• Must be available for occasional after hour client support.
• Travel will be required to install control systems, and to provide plant start-up services at Customer sites.
• The amount of travel will vary according to business requirements. Up to 35% may be expected.
• While on a jobsite, there is potential for overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum (10) years professional experience
• Associate degree in Computer Studies or equivalent, Instrumentation and Controls, preferred - 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Possess experience in programming in the Industrial Environment, implementing Industrial Control Software
• Possess experience in dealing with customers regarding system requirements.
• Competency of math needed for the plant floor environment.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite, required
• Broad knowledge of PLC, HMI, PC, high level programming, and databases.
• Possess experience in programming in the Industrial Environment, implementing Industrial Control Software (Startup)
• Excellent organizational skills and mechanical inclination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
