About Us

Forge is looking for a Lead Carpenter to join our residential construction and remodeling team. As a lead carpenter, you will be an expert, hands-on field professional who oversees every on-site aspect of a remodeling project while also working on the site providing carpentry labor. At Forge, you will deliver high quality work and provide mentorship to our junior and apprentice carpenters.

Responsibilities Include:

Carpentry labor
Problem solving on-site
Following site plans
Creating job schedule and monitoring flow of work
Maintaining the schedule and working within a budget
Assisting with estimates
Obtaining building permits and maintaining other site paperwork, as required
Scheduling and attending inspections by building officials
Anticipate needs for materials, decisions and labor in advance
Employee supervision, as well as training and mentoring junior carpenters
Safety training and Maintaining a clean, safe jobsite
Doing material take offs and ordering materials
Scheduling and supervising subcontractors
Communicating with back office production team
Communicating with design professionals

Your Qualifications

8+ years experience in residential construction (frame to finish carpentry, house flipping, home improvements, etc).
5+ years in a Lead Carpenter position
Hold a valid Construction Supervisor License (CSL)
You must be a person with a strong work ethic, high level of integrity and an eagerness to teach!
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and tools
Available to work full-time with flexibility to work after hours if needed.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Able to provide proof of Covid Vaccination by employment start date
