Our client company is seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to support Manufacturing and Engineering to determine potential applications for laser welding.

You must be willing to:
Provide technical details/documentation/support/guidance
Be responsible for designs/specifications of welding fixtures
Develop laser welding techniques/procedures
Research/develop/test new welding methods/processes/procedures
Resolve production issues related to laser welding processes
Create process control documentation for each welding operation
Analyze/develop/achieve precision weld requirements
Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications
Troubleshoot programming/fixtures/production related issues
Develop procedures/work instructions
Develop/teach/maintain monitoring system

Requirements (IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE, DONT APPLY)
BS Engineering/Metallurgy/ Welding
3+ years experience laser welding (metalworking industry preferred/Tier 1 Automotive supplier)
Experience with robotic welding required
Demonstrate technical understanding of programming automated systems.
Weld Safety Certification preferred
