Job Description:

Our client is looking for a new LSA because one of their LSAs is moving back to Colorado. See below the day to day responsibilities for the role.

• Draft plans, technical drawings, and blueprints for the project engineer in office. Collab on construction drawings with team.
• Proficiency in Auto CAD
• Must know something about Civil 3d
• Had an engineer leave so DS Thaler is looking to hire a cad drafter to support his junior engineers.
• He is doing this to give them an opportunity to grow
• Must have 1 + years exp/ and know how to do basic drawings in autocad
• Responsible for designing and creating CAD drawings
• Supporting their construction drawings
• Working very closely with the Project Engineer and the Project Engineer will give direction on how they will proceed using CAD
• Need to be available to answer questions from their colleagues that aren't as experienced in Civil 3D
• Need to be able to work on the design and work on the construction roles

Top Skills Details:

• Design, site Grading, Erosion Control Plans and earthwork studies
• Stormwater Management Plans & computations (ESD)
• Storm Drain design, profiles and computations
• Water & sewer systems
• APFO studies for existing water & sewer systems
• The ability to work independently and facilitate design drawings thru municipality review and approval processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of landscape architecture & planning experience.
• Will still look at resumes with 2+ years (professional).
• BS degree - will still consider someone with no degree but strong experience.
• Very heavy in the planning aspect of the job.
• Need to have experience with preparing plans, feasibility analysis, and layouts.
• Will not take someone with small scale residential (patios, single-home walkways, backyards, home gardens, etc.)
• Projects: mainly private sector, residential, subdivisions, multi-family developments, townhomes, country clubs (golf course/club house), mixed-use, housing lots, parking lots, etc.
• Does not do projects like parks & rec, trees, playgrounds, trails, etc.
• Need experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Doesn't need Civil 3D, having Land FX is a plus.
• Production focused work.
• Commute/Remote Flexibility - ideally go into office every day, but they're flexible based on the situation (doctors appt, family/kids, emergency, etc.)
• Potential to do remote work in the future (once established) if necessary.
