Job Description

Position Title: Lab Associate

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Department: Lab

Reports to: Sr Operations Manager

Overview
Learns optimal workflow from Management, Sr. Analysts and Analysts.
Takes direction from Shift Supervisor and Team Leads in order to adapt to various conditions in the Lab and ensure optimum workflow throughout the organization.
Receives and processes samples in the Receiving and Sample Prep departments.
Masters every pre-analyst position in a sample's workflow, from Receiving to Analysis.
Assists multiple departments as needed or directed.
Prepares samples for evaluation in each department.
Measures, evaluates, and analyzes all sample specifications, assessment form information, database selections, websites, and library samples to ensure accuracy in determining like, kind & quality selections or matches.
Operates & utilizes lab equipment/tools as required, following current lab procedures.
Documents and verifies all unusual specifications, poor sample conditions, and any aspects of individual samples that does not comply with industry norms by placing internal notes and report comments in ITEL software.
Files, stores, and pulls samples according to set procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
