Kitchen Porter
Daily kitchen cleaning of all kitchen equipment & surfaces , including grills, hoods, fryers and small wares, cleaning all dishes, equipment and event spaces.
Works closely with Culinary specialist and inventory steward to rotate stock, discard out of date items and mop & clean all cooler spaces daily. Clean as you go methodology.
Discards trash and compost multiple times per day in all 4 kitchen and event spaces. Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and follows all safety protocols related to proper cleaning methods for all types of floors, carpet and fryer oil removal. Safety First AWAYS .
Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, Read chemical labels and follow all safety protocols , a strong ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
RELATIONSHIPS
Works closely and takes direction from Culinary specialist and inventory stewards
QUALIFICATIONS
Related Experience: High School Diploma
Prior experience working in a large fast paced foodservice environment strongly desired.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to comprehend and carry out dishwashing and commercial kitchen equipment cleaning on schedule. Read written instructions. Must possess strong organizational and cleanliness standards. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
