Maverick is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support our growing EV team headquartered in Boston, MA with offices across the country. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical field and be familiar with EV deployment and NEVI. The role will comprise of daily interactions with the engineering staff in matters relating to design engineering, project commissioning , EV Charger commissioning and permitting. It shall require the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment , as well as various associated deliverables. The position will provide heavy exposure and job training for the latest EV deployment and new electrical services. Travel and field visits will be required.
Responsibilities:
Support in the design and engineering efforts of large and small scale EV projects.
Create and provide quality control services for deliverables in the form of Permit Drawings, Bill of Materials, Construction Maps, Single Line Diagrams and site visits.
Incorporate client and vendor specifications into engineering designs.
Update and maintain, as necessary, existing hard copy design drawings and convert existing hard copy drawings to electronic versions.
Research and incorporate client and jurisdiction specifications into permit drawings
Produce and utilize QA/QC checklists that follow permitting jurisdiction requirements
Upload/submit deliverables for client or jurisdiction review
Maintain spreadsheets to track permit submissions
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor Degree in engineering, Construction management , or other related field OR comparable professional experience.
Strong electrical skills preferred.
Proficient in MS Excel and/or similar spreadsheet applications
Creative and analytical mind with a willingness to learn
Must enjoy working in a fast paced, high-growth, and rapidly changing work environment
Highly flexible in daily duties and level of responsibility
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Previous utility engineering experience is a plus
Commissioning of chargers and equipment will require hands on physical work of removing covers and taking numerous equipment readings
Experience with PROCORE a plus.
Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol and background check requirements
