Our new Redfin Home Services team brings a higher level of convenience and certainty to the home selling and buying process. As a Painter for Redfin Home Services, you'll help drive our paint services division. The Role: Project manages crew of 1 to 2 painters assistants. Responsible for speed, quality and budget of painting services performed by their crew. Manage multiple paint projects simultaneously. Travel to multiple project sites in a region, coordinating with Home Services Managers. Assist Superintendent in many areas including training and other handyman duties. May assist in removing any old paint, sanding, scraping and power washing surfaces to prepare for paint. Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler, using caulking gun and putty knife, including repair and texture stucco cracks. Desired Skills & Experience: At least three years of residential renovation and construction experience, including paint and general handyman skills. Must have experience leading a paint crew and be comfortable with giving direction to crew members. Excellent time management. Experience in following and setting deadlines, and driving towards completion. Proactive communication with Home Services Managers. Facility using and learning new technologies. Must have smartphone skills and Microsoft office skills. Excellent organization skills and neatness. A character of dependability and accountability with an orientation of service to others. Results oriented, common sense and critical thinking skills. Able to work off scopes of work and read paint specifications. Ability to mix and apply paints. Paints various surfaces with advanced knowledge in all methods of painting (rolling, brushing and spraying). Advance knowledge of spray machines and pressure washers. Ability to apply texture on drywall as needed...Smooth, Orange Peel, Knockdown and Slap Brush. Applies touch ups or second coats. Ability to carry heavy items up to 50 pounds. Must have customer service experience and being able to troubleshoot difficult situations. Reliable mode of transportation and ability to travel within your market. Good driving record with proper licensing and insurance.
