The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Repair all mechanical systems related to process equipment and site buildings/facilities
Troubleshoot/repair mechanical equipment and components
Troubleshoot/repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and pumping equipment
Perform metal fabrication, welding and basic machining
Perform pipefitting, millwright, and equipment installation tasks
This position will require:
Ability to work weekends, overtime, holidays as needed, short notice shift coverage, and working 3rd shift (10:00PM - 6:00 AM)
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum three (3) years of heavy mechanical maintenance experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Minimum of five (5) years of heavy mechanical maintenance experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Recent experience working at a mine, quarry, cement plant or similar industry
Journeyman certification.
Location: Corona, CA
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
Relocation: Is not authorized
Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M employment testing as a part of the selection process.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
