Apex Integrated Systems, LLC is looking for a driven, energetic, and experienced Technician II to support our Service / Installation (S/I) Division and help drive success for the rest of the company. Apex Integrated Systems, LLC has been offering Security, Access Control, A/V integration, and Fire Alarm Systems for new Multi-Family apartment communities and Commercial projects along the Front range of Colorado for over 17 years. Apex operates in new construction and offers service and installation support for many of Colorado's and the nation's largest building developers, property managers, and general contractors. The Technician II is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of system integration and startup of complete systems on projects for the company and our customers.

What You Will Do:

  • System programming, start-up, and field commissioning of low voltage systems
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and correct cabling, component, or other installation errors quickly to resolve system troubles
  • Troubleshoot low voltage cabling and basic DC circuits
  • Coordinate with other trades connecting to or performing work in parallel with company systems
  • Proper cabling installation and trim out best practices in the construction industry
  • Install low voltage cabling in a new construction / retro fit environment
  • Install various low voltage devices, including CCTV, access control, electronic door hardware, audio / visual systems (e.g., speakers, Televisions), BDA equipment, fire alarm basic devices (e.g., horns, strobes, etc.)
  • Read and comprehend blueprints, floor plans, and general documentation
  • Terminate communications, network, access control, CCTV, audio/video and alarm systems
  • Proficiency in operation of powered and manual hand tools including drills, saws, screw drivers, etc.
  • Operate powered and manual hand tools; drill, nail, screw, or otherwise mount equipment, cable supports, and device boxes

What We Require:

  • 1 - 4 years of industry related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of communication circuits and low voltage systems to include Access Control, CCTV, Audio/Video, Intrusion Alarms, Radio Enhancement, Networking, and Electronic door hardware
  • Proficient in operation of powered and manual hand tools including, drills, saws, tape measures, screwdrivers, etc.; must provide basic diagnostic and hand tools
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blue prints, floor plans, and documentation
  • Proficient knowledge of proper cabling installation, safety requirements and codes that pertain to cabling and construction industries, best practices in the construction industry, and proper terminology for low voltage, electrical, and construction industries
  • High level of computer hardware and software proficiency
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Technical degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license for the state of Colorado
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
