We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with either a Coastal or Waterfront/Marine Structural Engineering background to function as a technical lead. The successful new hire may work from either of the following offices: Seattle or Federal Way, WA or Anchorage, AK. The hire will support our Anchorage office by managing and leading office production of technical projects, mentoring and developing staff, managing client relationships, and will be responsible for marketing and sales (business development) for select clients and opportunities. Travel to Alaska is required. This position has significant growth potential for the right individual! Duties and responsibilities: Project management Oversee design process, lead and direct team of multidisciplinary engineers to meet project schedules, budgets, and insure quality Development of reports and contract documents, including construction drawings and technical specifications Oversee schematic and detailed designs and evaluation of planning and concept alternatives Create and maintain client relationships; act as the primary interface between M&N, clients and subconsultants Preparation of proposals and participate in business development activities including strategy and implementation Perform periodic site visits and attend client meetings Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Mentor and develop technical staff Other duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering 15+ years of related coastal or waterfront structural experience in engineering design, project management, client service, and business development Minimum 5 years of related coastal or waterfront structural experience in the Pacific Northwest Professional Engineer registration in Alaska or ability to receive via reciprocity within 6 months Academy of Coastal, Ocean, Port & Navigation Engineers (ACOPNE) certification in the Port Engineering category preferred Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing projects, staff, vendor, client, and agency relationships Proven success in leading people and managing resources Willingness and availability to travel within Alaska All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post-offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Physical requirements: Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
