Schwickert's currently has an opening for Commercial Roofing Service Foreman. The Commercial Roofing Service Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of a service crew, including designating material staging areas, overseeing and training of individuals in roofing system installations. The Commercial Roofing Service Foreman will be responsible for installing commercial roofing systems with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost effective manner. Duties and Responsibilities Provide training, leadership and direction to assigned crew. Train employees on safety procedures and safety equipment. Mentor and retain a dependable and knowledgeable roofing workforce. Educate employees on roofing best practices, terminology, materials and equipment. Maximize production while maintaining worker safety, job costs and installation quality. Utilize the proper roofing materials and equipment. Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the job site. Promote proper work ethic and enforce the Company's policies, procedures and practices. Facilitate meetings per superintendent's request. Additional duties as required Qualifications 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge with multiple types of commercial roofing installation and manufacturers. Working knowledge in blue print reading and specifications. Strong attention to detail. Knowledge in the basics of architectural sheet metal, including measurements and installation. Ability to plan for and complete assigned tasks through completion. Ability to represent Schwickert's in a professional manner, promoting the organization in a positive and productive discipline which will serve as an example to others. Must not be afraid of heights and must be able to position extension ladder to access roof for roof inspection/survey. Other critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification and resolution, multi-tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner. Clean motor vehicle record and background check. Starting pay will be based upon the candidate's experience and qualifications. Successful candidates will be eligible for a $500 hiring bonus.
