Our Client an aviation and aerospace products manufacture is seeking an experienced level 3 Non-destructive testing (NDT) technician to examine the physical properties of materials and components to detect corrosion, cracks, flaws and other imperfections on products to improve product product performance and reliability and to prevent product failure. The ideal candidate is level 3 certified and
would have a number of years experience planning, creating and performing inspection and tests on products as well as working with engineers and other inspectors, have good documentation and communication skills and be able to work alone or as a member of a team.
Experience and certification for Radiographic Testing RT is this highest priority, followed by Magnetic Particle Inspection MP and Liquid Penetrant LP inspection experience and certification. Radio graphic Testing RT Radiographic Testing (RT) is a nondestructive examination (NDE) technique that involves the use of either x-rays or gamma rays to view the internal structure of a component. In the petrochemical industry, RT is often used to inspect machinery, such as pressure vessels and valves, to detect for flaws. RT is also used to inspect weld repairs. Magnetic Particle inspection MP Magnetic particle Inspection (MPI) is a non-destructive testing (NDT) process for detecting surface and shallow subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys. The process puts a magnetic field into the part. Liquid Penetrant certifications LP Dye penetrant inspection (DP), also called liquid penetrate inspection (LPI) or penetrant testing (PT), is a widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to check surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials (metals, plastics, or ceramics).
